Massage Modalities – Unique Techniques
Presenters: Several Massage Therapists
Wednesday, March 24th at 7 pm
Rarity Bay Community Activity Center
Several massage therapists with additional training in special massage techniques will briefly educate us on their unique modality. Then each of the presenters will offer massage mini sessions allowing everyone present to observe several techniques and experience at least one of them. Here’s a list of the presenters and their modalities.
PAUL KELLY, BS, LMT, CSCS, MAT, – MyoSkeletal Alignment Technique, a structural treatment that brings the body into proper alignment effectively alleviating pain and dysfunction.
VALERIE WHITING, MS, OTR/L, LMT, – Yamuna Face Lift Massage which uses a variety of sizes of air filled small balls for cosmetic and health benefits such as reducing age related wrinkles, TMJ, eye ticks, etc.
JULIA SAUDER, LMT,- Physio Ball Massage which helps with motor co-ordination.
CHARLES WEST, LMT, – Myokinesthetic Technique for balancing muscles and nerves associated with a specific nerve root located in a painful problem area.
SANDIE DE JESUS, LMT, RCR, CLP, LPN, NREMT,- Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy eliminates pain, reduces swelling and stiffness, increases range of motion, improves circulation and re-educates the muscles into pain free habits.
MARTY AUSTIN, MS, CST, NMT, MLD, – CranialSacralTherapy, a therapeutic technique which addresses the structure and function of the brain and spinal cord, skull bones, sacrum and interconnected membranes to relieve chronic pain, migraines, TMJ, etc.
ANGELA BUCKRIDGE, LAc, Tuina, an oriental bodywork that uses massage and manipulation techniques to establish a more harmonious flow of Qi allowing the body to naturally heal itself.
Several of the presenters will be donating a free one hour massage for our door prizes.
